The method used to collect the information will normally be

•  Discuss the operations with your staff  to get an overview of the
  company
•  Compile a questionnaire for your staff to capture the detailed
  information required together with other supporting financial
  and management documentation
•  Send the standard forms to your overseas offices for them to
  complete the information not available in the UK
•  Input the documentation into the programmes
